Visited Colorado Bend State Park for the first time.
As a bonus, I received a lifetime TX State Park Pass thanks to my U.S. military service — really meaningful and appreciated.

While hiking the trail, I encountered a snake. It was very close — almost within striking distance of my dog. Thankfully, nothing happened, but it was definitely a tense moment.

The weather was hot and humid, and with wildlife around, it didn’t feel safe to continue a long hike with a small dog.

Overall, a beautiful park, but it reminded me to always stay alert and be cautious out there.
