Texas spring is finally here, with wildflowers blooming everywhere and sunsets that light up the sky with incredible colors. 🌸🌅

Replaced the old SATA disk with a SATA SSD—massive speed improvement.    The setup took some time: clean Windows 10 install, then upgraded to Windows 11 using a CPU/TPM workaround for this older machine. Garage roof is all repaired and looking great. Hard to believe one small nail hole ruined the board and fascia.  Huge thanks to Scott and Monday Roof for taking care of it.

Today I purchased and installed the ZER‑LON GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Gaming Graphics Card for Daniella’s computer. The upgrade was completed successfully, and her system is now capable of running a wider range of PC games smoothly.While doing this, I found myself wondering whether supporting her interest in PC gaming makes me a “good father.”

Texas winter really showed up this week — freezing temps, barely any snow, but still cold enough to make the roads slick. Schools closed, businesses shut down, everything slowed to a crawl. Grateful we still have power and water through all of this.

 dinner with Hayoung’s friends and a cozy fire in the backyard. Marshmallows, laughter, and a perfect night together.
